| An 80-year old man makes his way to the nearest police station
after his wife's funeral and insists that he be arrested for
crime he had committed 50 years ago, in 1948, The year Ceylon
gained its independence from Great Britain. The old man claims
he had killed three men and buried their bodies in the jungle.
The old couple had promised each other to keep it as secrete
and, now that his wife has died, the old man now wants to be
relived on this mental torment. Apparently, while burying their
dead yang child, the couple had found a rare gemstone in the
jungle. But this fortuitous event brought nothing but jealousy
and gangster attacks. They were forced to flee but fate caught
up with them. The couple finally understand the meaning of their
discovery, making decisions that ultimately won them their true
